Dropped off the three different types of cloth that I created for the C Design Studio in Georgetown, and it will be cut up and made into into some Haute Couture clothing!!! Excited to see what they create!
In the photo you see the purpley fuchsia of skulls and pomegranates and dragon, the blue has protective eyes or star constellations or planets and the green has small stars all over it.
I think I may have to add that I can make custom cloth on my shop now! It was enjoyable.
A good start to the year in Batik! Currently I am working on batikking and dying apparel, I have a few items up in the shop; vests and jean jackets! I will be working on more jean jackets. When I'm done with the batch I have now I will be switching back to hoodies for a bit, and overalls.
I am continuing my on-line class with my Batik teacher Batikwalla Sunday afternoons. It's helpful and so fun to talk shop with an acitve batik artist and students - it seems we are so few and far between. We talk wax temperature, application methods, cloth, dying, boil out and business and other stuff that has nothing to do with batik! We're like a "sewing circle" :D
